Three Arrested Over Southampton Stabbing Murder
Police have swooped on a triple arrest in connection with the shocking murder of Shkelzen Dauti, better known as ‘Genny’. The 30-year-old woman and two men aged 27 and 28 were held on suspicion of his stabbing death in Southampton.
Victim Found Stabbed in the Early Hours
Genny was discovered lying injured on Gilpin Close just after 1.30am on Saturday, 11 March, suffering a stab wound to his chest. He was rushed to Southampton General Hospital but sadly died from his injuries.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Chief Inspector Ellie Hurd from Hampshire’s Major Crime Team urged anyone who saw or spoke to Genny from Friday night into early Saturday to come forward. She said:
“We want to understand more about Genny’s life here in Southampton. If you have any information, please contact us quoting Operation Siskin or call 101 with reference 44170091405.”
Community Patrols Stepped Up
Hampshire Constabulary has boosted patrols around Gilpin Close to reassure locals and catch anyone who might hesitate to speak up. Officers are carrying out house-to-house inquiries and encouraging residents to share concerns.
