Diesel Robbery Spree Hits Kent Lorries

Between Sunday 9 and Tuesday 11 January 2022, Kent Police logged three reports of diesel theft from lorries parked in laybys along the A2. The first two thefts struck near Barham, with a third incident recorded close to Harbledown.

Police Nab Three Suspects in Overnight Stop

In a swift move, officers from the East Kent Criminal Investigation Department stopped a suspicious vehicle on New Dover Road, Canterbury, just after 1.30am on Wednesday 12 January. Three men aged 40, 29, and 24 were arrested on suspicion of theft and possessing burglary tools.

Officers seized several tools during the stop. The suspects were later released under investigation as enquiries continue.
