Three teenagers have been arrested by British Transport Police (BTP) on suspicion of robbery at Barking station. The stunning arrest came after officers tracked down a stolen phone reported missing the day before.
Police used the stolen device’s location to pinpoint the suspects, leading to their swift capture yesterday. Two phones were recovered during the bust—one the stolen phone, and another suspicious device wrapped in tin foil, a common trick to block tracking signals.
BTP Chief Promises Tough Action on Crime
Chief Superintendent Chris Casey confirmed the arrests on social media:
“We are committed to making the rail network a hostile environment for offenders. Our officers acted swiftly, and thanks to great investigative work, we’ve recovered stolen property and taken suspects into custody.”
