Knife-Wielding Man Sparks Police Hunt in Surrey Underpass
Armed officers and the National Police Air Service scrambled this morning after a woman was threatened with a knife in Surrey.
Woman Escapes Unharmed
The victim was walking through the A331 underpass between The Moors and Tongham Road at around 9.35am when a man brandishing a knife approached her. She managed to flee the scene unharmed.
Suspect Description Released
The attacker is described as Asian, about 5ft 8in tall, with a large build. He has short, dark, unkempt hair and a clean-shaven face. At the time, he wore dark grey trousers, a white t-shirt, and an undone thin blue overshirt.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Sergeant Phil Bayman said: “I understand that this incident, along with a heavy police presence in the area today, is concerning for local residents. I want to reassure everyone that we are doing everything we can to find the suspect.”
“There will be a continued police presence, and I urge anyone who witnessed the incident or saw someone matching this description to report it immediately via our website.”
