Police Smash Down Door in Bold Isle of Wight Drug Raid
Armed cops with battleram and crowbars stormed a house on North Road, Shanklin this afternoon, smashing through the front door in a dramatic pre-planned raid. Witnesses say officers battered their way inside, backed by specialist drugs dogs and a squad from the Force Support Unit.
Two Men and Woman Arrested as Drugs Inquiry Heats Up
Hampshire Constabulary confirmed the raid targets drug supply investigations. Two men and one woman were arrested and remain in custody following the operation.
“We can confirm that specialist officers executed pre-planned warrants at addresses on North Road in Shanklin this morning (Wednesday 15 May). The warrants relate to an investigation into the supply of drugs,” the police said.
Four Police Vehicles Back Up Drugs Search
Four police vehicles remain parked outside as cops conduct an extensive search. The Force Support Unit and canine teams are combing the property for evidence in a move local residents say shook the usually quiet street.
