Boxing Day Horror: Girl, 10, and Man, 66, Killed in East Yorkshire Smash

A 10-year-old girl, Abbie Wilson, lost her life in a shocking Boxing Day crash on Garrowby Street (A166), East Yorkshire. The tragic collision also claimed the life of a 66-year-old man.

Crash Details: Audi and Skoda Collide

The accident happened just before 5pm on Boxing Day. A black Audi A4 and a blue Skoda Kodiaq smashed into each other. Abbie was a passenger in the Skoda. Despite emergency services rushing her to hospital, she sadly died soon after. The Audi’s 66-year-old driver died at the scene.

Family Pays Heartbreaking Tribute

“She was such a lovable young girl,” said Abbie’s grieving family. “She would always show us houses on the internet, dreaming of her future home. We will miss her so much.”

Investigation Underway as Six Others Injured

Six other people sustained serious injuries in the crash. Their families have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers.

The Skoda is believed to have been travelling from the coast, while the Audi came from york/" title="York" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">York. Police are probing the cause of the smash and urge witnesses to call 101, quoting log 339 of December 26, 2023, with any information.
