Pretend Pregnant Passenger Sparks Emergency Flight Landing

Police have detained 14 people after a false medical emergency forced a Pegasus Airlines plane to make an emergency landing. Among those held was a woman who claimed her waters had broken—only for officials to confirm she wasn’t actually in labour.

Fugitives Still At Large

The flight was carrying 228 passengers from Casablanca when the drama unfolded on Wednesday morning. Despite the arrests, 14 passengers remain on the run, authorities reveal.

Deportations and Immediate Flight Returns

Of those detained, five were immediately put back on the Pegasus Airlines plane to continue their journey. Meanwhile, eight others face deportation back to Morocco.

Déjà Vu: Spain’s Mallorca Chaos Last Year

This isn’t the first time fake emergencies have caused chaos in the skies. In October last year, 24 passengers escaped after a false alarm emergency landing in Mallorca, Spain. Twelve were arrested while another dozen vanished without a trace.
