Man in his twenties stabbed to death in Tilehurst late last night
Tragedy struck Romany Lane, Tilehurst at around 10.40pm on Halloween as police were called to reports of a stabbing. The victim, a man in his twenties, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three Arrested Over Fatal Stabbing
Police arrested an 18-year-old and two 19-year-old men, all local to Reading, on suspicion of murder. The suspects remain in custody as officers launch a full-scale murder inquiry.
Targeted Attack, Police Say No Public Danger
Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector Andy Howard of the Major Crime Unit confirmed the investigation is in its early stages. He said:
“We have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man last night. Our thoughts remain with his family and friends at this difficult time.
“At this time we believe that this was a targeted incident and that there is no risk to the wider public.”
