Gun Drama in Dagenham: Two Men Arrested After Firearm Spotted

Police swooped on Hindmans Way, Dagenham at 7.32pm on Thursday, 24 June after reports of a firearm sighting sparked alarm.

Firearms Unit and Helicopter Join the Hunt

Officers from the Met’s Firearms Command raced to the scene, backed by local cops and the Police Helicopter. A thorough search of the area led to two men, aged 35 and 36, being found and a firearm recovered.

Suspects in Custody, No One Hurt

The pair were arrested on suspicion of firearm possession and taken to east London police stations, where they remain held. Thankfully, no injuries were reported during the incident.

Investigation Ongoing, Police Seek Witnesses

Detectives from the East Area Command are probing the case. “At this early stage, we retain an open mind concerning motive,” a spokesperson said.
