Late Night Assault at Basingstoke Train Station

Just before 11pm on Saturday, April 17, a man in his 20s was jumped by a gang at Basingstoke’s main railway station. The victim was heading towards a nearby bus stop when trouble struck.

Mob Targets Man with Homophobic Abuse

According to police, the group unleashed a barrage of homophobic slurs as the man waited outside the station. Things quickly turned violent when two attackers struck him, leaving the victim with serious facial injuries.

Two Arrested and Held in Custody

Two local teens, aged 19 and 20, have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. Both remain in police custody as the investigation continues.
