Catford is in shock after two brutal stabbings hit the area in the early hours of October 15. One man has died, and another is fighting for his life in hospital.
Deadly Stabbing Shakes Rushey Green at 3am
The horror began just after 3am outside a row of shops on Rushey Green. A man in his twenties was found with stab wounds and rushed to hospital. Tragically, he died shortly after arrival. Police have alerted his family and are offering specialist support.
“Our thoughts go out to the family and friends of this young man who have lost someone they love in such a tragic way. A dedicated homicide team is piecing together this morning’s events,” said Borough Commander Trevor Lawry.
No arrests have been made yet.
Another Stabbing Rocks Mountsfield Park Area at 8am
Just hours later, at around 8am, emergency crews responded to a second stabbing at Farley Mews, near Mountsfield Park. A man was injured and treated at the scene before being taken to hospital. His condition remains unknown.
Police have not confirmed if the two attacks are linked but are investigating both incidents thoroughly.
