Police have arrested two boys following a blaze at King George V playing fields pavilion in Cosham late last night.

Arson attack sparks major investigation

The fire broke out around 10.30pm, sending shockwaves through the community. A 15-year-old and a 17-year-old suffered burns and were rushed to hospital. While the older teen has since been discharged, the younger lad is being transferred to a specialist unit.

Teen suspects in custody

Officers detained a 14-year-old boy from the local area on suspicion of arson. A 17-year-old from Portsmouth was also arrested, suspected of arson with intent. A police cordon remains in place as the probe continues.
