Two Boys Arrested After Stabbing Horror in Oxford’s Blackbird Leys
A grim afternoon in Oxford turned violent when a 14-year-old boy was stabbed in Blackbird Leys, sparking a swift police response and two arrests.
Teen Stabbed Near Coltsfoot Square
Just after 4pm on June 14th, paramedics and police rushed to Coltsfoot Square following reports a boy had been stabbed. The victim, aged 14, was rushed to hospital where he remains in serious but stable condition.
Two 16-Year-Olds in Custody
Authorities quickly arrested two local 16-year-old boys on suspicion of attempted murder. Both are currently held by police as investigations continue.
Heavy Police Presence and Community Alert
Scene watches and increased patrols are in effect across Blackbird Leys to reassure the public. Superintendent Bruce Riddell, Oxford’s Local Policing Area Commander, stressed the rapid progress:
