Police launched a dramatic dawn raid in Pilgrims Hatch at 7am today (October 3), smashing down doors in a fierce crackdown on drug crime.
Class A Drugs and Cash Seized in Early Morning Storm
The raids uncovered a stash of suspected Class A drugs, a safe, mobile phones, cash, scales, and bags dusted with white powder. Two women were arrested on the spot.
- One woman faces charges for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
- The other was arrested for possession of Class A drugs.
Both suspects were taken into custody in Grays, police confirmed.
Community Cops Slam Drug Dealers
Sgt Lauren Sharland of Brentwood Neighbourhood Policing Team blasted the dealers: “We got reports of suspected drug offences and moved fast to make arrests.”
“Drug dealing causes huge damage in the community. It exploits the vulnerable and fuels crime from shoplifting to violent offences.”
“We’re dedicated to shutting down drug supply lines and putting dealers behind bars. If you’re dealing in Brentwood, expect a visit from us.”
Police Urge Public to Snitch on Dealers
Sgt Sharland urged locals to help the force: “If you suspect drug dealing in your area, report it to us or contact Crimestoppers anonymously. The more info we get, the tougher we can hit these criminals.”
