Tragic Morning Crash Near Ingleby Arncliffe Claims Motorcyclist’s Life
A fatal smash unfolded just before 8 a.m. today (Wednesday, June 15, 2022) close to Ingleby Arncliffe, claiming the life of a 51-year-old biker.
Car and Motorcycle Collide on A19
The accident involved a blue Ford KA and a silver Yamaha motorcycle. The Ford KA was turning onto the A19 from Cross Lane, while the Yamaha was heading southbound on the main road.
Sadly, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The car driver escaped with minor injuries and is cooperating with police.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dash Cam Footage
Officers urge anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle beforehand to come forward. Crucially, anyone with dash cam footage capturing the incident is asked to save it and contact the police.
