Manhunt Underway After Hit-and-Run at Three Bridges Station
Sussex Police have launched a major manhunt after a hit-and-run left a man seriously injured near Three Bridges Station, Crawley. The victim was airlifted to a trauma centre following the shocking smash on Wednesday evening.
Paramedics Rush to Scene
The emergency services were scrambled just after 6:15pm to Three Bridges Station. Paramedics and the Kent and Sussex Air Ambulance quickly arrived to tend to the critically injured man, who was thrown into the taxi rank area after being hit by a car.
Crime Scene Still in Place
Police have cordoned off a large crime scene at the mini roundabout, where the victim’s shoe was found in the middle of the road. Clothing cut from the injured man and a CEX bag lie abandoned in the gutter nearby.
Specialist Police Hunt Driver
Sussex Roads Policing officers and collision investigators are now working together to track down the driver who fled the scene without stopping. The area is expected to stay closed for some time as the investigation continues.
