Man Airlifted to Major Trauma Centre After Shocking Hit-and-Run Near Crawley

Sussex Police have launched a serious investigation after a hit-and-run sent a man flying into a taxi rank near Three Bridges Station, Crawley. The incident happened just after 6:15pm on Wednesday evening.

Chaos at the Scene as Emergency Services Race to Help

Paramedics and the Kent and Sussex Air Ambulance were rushed to the scene. The man was airlifted to a major trauma centre in Sussex with serious injuries. Witnesses report a man’s shoe lying in the middle of a mini roundabout, with his clothing and a CEX bag scattered in the gutter nearby.

A large crime scene remains in place. Collision experts and Sussex Roads Policing officers are combing the area for clues. Authorities warn the road near Three Bridges Station is expected to stay closed for some time.
