Thieves Nab Two Sheep Near Dover – Police Seek Help
Two sheep have been stolen from a field near Dover, sparking a police appeal for information.
Sheep Snatched Overnight in Wootton
The theft happened between 11pm on 23 July and 6am the next morning in a field close to the A2 at Geddinge Lane, Wootton.
One missing sheep is a black Zwartbles breed, described as a beloved pet. The other is a small black Hebridean sheep.
Disturbingly, a third sheep was found in the field with its legs tied up.
Kent Police Urge Locals to Stay Alert
Sergeant Darren Walshaw from Kent Police’s Rural Task Force said: “This type of crime is rising nationally but remains rare in Kent. This case is especially upsetting as the Zwartbles was a pet and is dearly missed.”
He added: “Livestock owners should keep a close eye on their animals and the rural community must report any suspicious behaviour, including vehicle details.”
