Teen Drug Driver Nabbed on Isle of Wight
Officers from the Isle of Wight’s Joint Armed Roads Policing Team pulled over a silver Suzuki Swift in Newport on Friday evening—and what they found was shocking.
16-Year-Old Caught Behind Wheel High and Uninsured
The driver, a reckless 16-year-old, was caught drugged up and boasting no licence or insurance. A roadside drug test confirmed the youngster was under the influence. To make matters worse, the car itself failed multiple checks and was deemed unroadworthy.
Swift Seized, Teen Arrested
The vehicle was promptly seized, and the teen was hauled off to Newport Police Station, where he remains in custody. Police bosses slammed the “foolhardy” behaviour, warning that driving under the influence with no licence or insurance won’t be tolerated.
