Vandals Spray Offensive Graffiti on Fareham Charity Shop Roof
Fareham, Hampshire – The new year has seen a nasty wave of vandalism across Hampshire, and the latest victim is a local charity shop.
Charity Shop Targeted Again
The Forces Support charity shop in Fareham was struck by vandals who broke in and daubed vile graffiti across the flat roof. Shop manager Carol Hunt described the shocking scene.
“Someone has gone on the roof and spray-painted vile graffiti which is very offensive to read,” said Carol. “We would be so grateful if any contractors could help us remove it. We try our best to raise money for the charity and keep costs down, but this is beyond our control.”
Vandalism Hits Hampshire Hard
- January: U Name It second-hand shop raided, guitars and a bayonet stolen, interior spray painted.
- February: Cedar School’s minibus stripped, causing distress to pupils and staff.
- Rural areas like Upham and Bishop’s Waltham hit by a series of phonebox bombings.
Other nearby properties also suffered roof damage during the attack.
Appeal for Help
Volunteers like Neil Webb are joining the call for community support. With the charity working hard to raise funds for those who serve, the extra cost of repairs hits hard.
If you’re a contractor or local business able to help remove the graffiti or repair the damage, the charity would love to hear from you.
