Man Stabbed in Broad Daylight After High-Speed Car Chase
Police are hunting witnesses after a man was chased and stabbed inside E&A Convenience Store on South Street around 12:15pm.
Silver BMW and Grey Volkswagen Flee Scene
The violent attack followed a high-speed chase involving two vehicles – a grey Volkswagen and a silver BMW estate. Witnesses saw the cars tearing through High Street, down Drove Road, and into South Street before the suspect gave chase on foot into the shop.
After the stabbing, the attacker fled in the silver BMW.
Police Appeal for Information
“This was a violent attack in broad daylight which left a man with serious injuries,” said Detective Inspector Neil Phillips. “We want anyone who saw what happened or the events leading up to it to come forward.”
Witnesses are urged to contact police online or call 101 quoting serial 506 of 27/02. The police say this appears to be an isolated incident, with no wider threat to the public.
