Three Men Smash Their Way Into Chippenham Co-Op in Dead of Night

Wiltshire Police are hunting for witnesses after a brazen burglary at the Co-Op on Conway Road, Chippenham, in the early hours of August 22.

Around 2.04am, three men forced their way into the store and smashed open the tills. They grabbed three cash boxes before officers arrived and fled the scene.

Part of a Nationwide Crime Spree Targeting Co-Ops

PC Josh Pullin, who is leading the investigation, said: “This appears to be part of a national series of burglaries specifically targeting Co-Op stores.”

Since the raid, cops have knocked on doors and sifted through local CCTV footage to track down the culprits. They warn some residents may not yet have been contacted.

PC Pullin urged the public: “If you have any information or doorbell/CCTV footage that could assist our investigation, please get in touch.”
