Man Stabbed After Door Knock in Hastings – Police Hunt Two Suspects

Stabbing Shock on Rye Road

Police are hunting witnesses after a man was stabbed in Hastings on Tuesday night. The victim, a 32-year-old local, was attacked just after 7.15pm when a man knocked on his front door. The suspect, joined by at least one other man, fled the scene immediately.

Victim Rushed to Hospital

The injured man was rushed to hospital for treatment. Fortunately, authorities believe this was an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the public. Still, the stabbing has shaken the community.

Police Appeal for Help

“We understand the impact it may have on the community,” said DC Dione Powell. “We’ve increased patrols to reassure residents. We ask anyone who saw what happened or has information to come forward.”
