Pregnant Ewes Brutally Attacked Near Teynham Over Christmas
In a shocking Christmas horror, a group of pregnant ewes were viciously attacked between Christmas Eve and 1pm on Boxing Day. The cruel incident took place near Deerton Street, Teynham, with locals reporting barking between 4pm and 5pm on Christmas Day.
Kent Police Call It ‘Worst Livestock Attack Ever’
PC Marc Pennicott from Kent Police’s Rural Task Force described the scene as “possibly the worst livestock attack we have ever had.” He said:
“The sheep would have been petrified and had no way of escaping. We believe one dog may be responsible, but cannot rule out others. The farmer faces not just financial loss but the devastating loss of animals.”
He added, “These dogs would have been covered in mud and returned home exhausted. We are determined to track down their owners quickly.”
Pregnant Sheep Targeted, Others at Risk
The sheep attacked were carrying twins or triplets. Survivors remain vulnerable to further attacks, raising urgent concern for the flock’s safety.
