Woman Grabbed and Attacked in Gosport High Street Horror
Police are hunting a man after a 43-year-old woman was assaulted in Gosport’s High Street in the early hours of Friday, March 22. The victim told cops she spoke with a stranger just before 2am outside Gosport Museum, near the bus and ferry terminal.
Attack in Narrow Alleyway
The man suddenly attacked the woman in a nearby alley next to Reflex Records. Thankfully, she escaped serious harm but suffered cuts and grazes on her hand.
Suspect Description Released
The victim described the attacker as:
- White male, early 30s
- Blonde, straight, spiky hair over his ears
- Large build
- Wore thick glasses
- Facial hair or full moustache
- Beige or light brown clothing
Interestingly, the man might have scratches on his face from the scuffle.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
“I’m keen to speak to anyone who saw the man and woman talking, or who witnessed the attack,” said DC Martin Alderton. “Officers are patrolling the area and reviewing CCTV footage. We urge the public to stay alert and call us if you recognise this man.”
