Four Dead After Helicopter and Light Aircraft Crash in Bucks

Thames Valley Police and the Air Accident Investigation Branch are locked on the scene of a deadly crash near Waddesdon, Aylesbury. A helicopter and light aircraft collided on Friday, killing four men instantly.

Tragic Crash in Upper Winchendon

The horrific collision happened just after 8pm on Saturday evening in woodland near Upper Winchendon. The bodies of all four victims — three British and one Vietnamese national — have been recovered. Formal identification and post-mortems are now underway and expected to take several days.

Military Support Joins the Investigation

Police are working with military specialists to remove the wreckage from the remote site. Superintendent Rebecca Mears said officers are providing full support to the victims’ families, with specially trained liaison officers offering help at this difficult time.

“Our thoughts remain with the families of the men who have tragically lost their lives,” said Superintendent Mears. “I’d also like to thank the local community for their patience and understanding while our investigation continues.”

Authorities stress no identities will be released until formal identification is completed. The probe into the fatal accident is ongoing.
