Woman Arrested After Lockdown at Wroughton Junior School
Wiltshire Police swooped on Wroughton Junior School just after 9am today (11/07) following alarming behaviour from a woman on the school grounds.
Armed and Dangerous? Woman in 30s Detained
The woman, believed to be in her 30s, was arrested on suspicion of carrying an offensive weapon and assaulting an emergency worker.
Police say she appeared to be undergoing a mental health crisis and is now receiving care.
No Harm to Pupils as Lockdown Ends
The school had already been put into lockdown after Ridgeway School staff alerted them. Thankfully, no children or staff were harmed during the scare.
Lessons are back to normal, with staff working hard to reassure pupils after the incident.
