Hit-and-Run Horror: Schoolgirl Maimed in Southampton

Police in Hampshire are hunting a hit-and-run driver after an 11-year-old girl was left with a broken ankle and facial injuries following a nasty collision.

Light Green Mondeo Flees Scene

The crash happened around 4.10pm on March 13 on High Road, Southampton. The girl was struck by a light green Ford Mondeo, which sped off along Burgess Road without stopping.

Police Launch Urgent Witness Appeal

PC Matthew Wilcocks from the Joint Roads Policing Unit urged anyone with info to come forward. “The car was missing hubcaps,” he said. “If you were in the area yesterday and spotted a light green Mondeo, please get in touch.”

He added: “We’re especially keen to hear from motorists or cyclists with dash cams or helmet cams who might have recorded the incident.”
