The Glades Shopping Centre in Bromley has reopened after being evacuated earlier today due to a “suspect package” that prompted a major police response.
The shopping centre was evacuated around 10 a.m. on August 30, when emergency services were called to the scene to investigate the suspicious item. As a precaution, all visitors and staff were swiftly escorted out of the building while police conducted their investigation.
After a thorough assessment by the authorities, the Metropolitan Police confirmed just after 12:30 p.m. that the situation had been resolved and The Glades was safe to reopen.
