Range Rover Chase Ends in Collision and Arrests on A40
Police tried to stop a Range Rover on the A40 in Brent at around 9pm on Tuesday, 3 August. The driver ignored orders and sped off, sparking a high-speed police pursuit.
High-Speed Chase Ends in Crash
The chase ended shortly after when the Range Rover crashed into another vehicle on nearby Alperton Lane. One of the Range Rover’s passengers suffered non-life threatening injuries and was rushed to hospital by the London Ambulance Service.
Two Arrested After Incident
The injured passenger was later arrested on suspicion of allowing himself to be carried in a stolen vehicle. Meanwhile, the male driver faced multiple traffic offence charges and suspicion of vehicle theft.
Injuries Also Reported in Second Vehicle
A passenger in the other car involved was also treated for non-life threatening injuries. No further details about their condition have been released.
Met Police Probe Underway
As standard protocol following a collision after a police chase, the Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards has been notified and is investigating the incident.
