Firefighters quickly mobilised, sending two engines from Horsham, and one each from Steyning and Partridge Green to battle the blaze.
Firefighters Use High-Pressure Hoses to Extinguish Blaze
On arrival, crews donned breathing apparatus and unleashed four high-pressure hose reels along with a jet to tackle the flames. Their efficient efforts brought the fire under control and extinguished it completely.
Cause and Clean-Up
The fire is thought to have started accidentally. Firefighters stayed on site, using thermal imaging cameras to hunt for any hidden hotspots and ensure the fire was fully out. They finally stood down at 6.33pm after thorough damping down.
