Rail workers from ASLEF, the drivers’ union, have called for a ban on non-contractual overtime at 16 train companies across the UK, including Thameslink. The strike action will last from Monday, July 3 to Saturday, July 8.
Thameslink has announced that it will be operating an amended timetable during the strike days, with fewer services running each hour. As a result, trains are expected to be busier than usual, particularly during peak hours, and passengers may experience longer queues.
