East Hampshire District Council Is Offering Its Support To Residents Who Wish To Organise Street Parties To Celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Over The Extended Weekend Of 2 To 5 June

Councillor Julie Butler, East Hampshire District Council’s Deputy Leader and Welfare Housing and Community Portfolio holder, said; “The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee is a very special national event, and we want as many people as possible in the district to take part in the celebrations. “We want to make it easy for local residents, businesses and communities to organise a street party and celebrate Her Majesty’s incredible record of public service. “I would urge anyone thinking of holding a street party to visit our website or get in touch for help and assistance.” Buckingham Palace has announced details of the Jubilee celebrations which include a pudding competition, a Service of Thanksgiving, a concert and the lighting of Platinum Jubilee beacons across the UK.
