Fire crews tackle Solar Farm Fire
Fire crews from three stations and a water carrier have tackling a fire on a solar farm in St Helen near Bembridge this afternoon. The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service were called just after 12.30pm. Crews are currently using two hose reels and a main jet to knock down the flames as smoke billlows into the sky. Fire crews from Hampshire fire and rescue have also been mobilised to the Islands to support Island crews as the code black was put into place. No one is understood to has been hurt in the large blaze. More to follow.
