Five Dead after Terror attack at Westminster

Police have just confirmed a Fifth death in the Westminster attack and Forty injured. A police officer died from stab wounds, along with his attacker [pictured], and two people hit by a car on Westminster Bridge died following a suspected terror attack outside Parliament. At least 20 people have been injured, some victims have been described as having “catastrophic” injuries by a junior doctor at St Thomas’ Hospital. Bomb Disposal officers are now dealing with a suspicious package inside the car that mowed people down on Westminster Bridge before crashing in to railings. Proceedings at Parliament were suspended after a police officer was stabbed and an alleged assailant shot by armed police outside the Houses of Parliament, shortly after a vehicle is reported to have mowed into members of the public on Westminster Bridge. Police are treating it as a terrorist incident until further notice but details of the attack remain unclear. Staff inside parliament found themselves on lockdown and unable to leave the building after at least three gun shots were heard by those inside the Houses of Parliament. Early reports suggest the vehicle, which mounted the pavement on Westminster Bridge and ploughed into approximately a dozen people, was the same vehicle which then rammed into the gates of Westminster just around the corner.
