Hampshire and Isle of Wight air ambulance called to the Isle of Wight
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Ambulance has been called to the Isle of Wight this evening. The yellow and green life saving helicopter was called just after 11.30pm on Sunday evening from it’s base at Thruxton Airport near Andover. The crew and helicopter landed at St Mary’s hospital just before midnight to carry out the transfer of seriously ill patient. The patient has been flown to Southampton golf course by the helicopter and met by a land ambulance from South central ambulance service for a short transfer to Southampton General hospital.
