Police launch Investigation after School Girl Attacked in Southampton
Police are appealing for information following a suspicious incident in Southampton. Officers were called just before 11am on Thursday, October 20 to a report of a suspicious man who approached an 11-year-old girl on Romsey Road at around 8.30am while she was on her to the Oasis Academy. The man is described as: black, approximately 30 years old, 5ft 11ins, of average build. He is described as having a wide nose and thick small lips, grade 1 shaved black/dark brown hair and with a black spacer in his ear. He was wearing a light coloured woven jumper. The girl is described as: white, with long shoulder length hair worn down, wearing a dark blue school blazer, white shirt, black trousers and plain black trainers. Detective Constable Simon Bembridge, said: “We have been in the area carrying out routine enquiries and reassurance patrols. We are also working with the local school to ascertain the exact circumstances of the incident. “If you saw this incident or the two people described in the area, please call us on 101.”
