Six people have been arrested following a chaotic brawl involving a stag party celebration on the tarmac at Tenerife Sur-Reina Sofia Airport. The altercation occurred shortly after a Ryanair flight from London landed on the island at 2:30 PM yesterday.
While the nationality of those involved has not been officially confirmed, it is believed that at least some of the individuals arrested are British.
The fight broke out on the runway as the passengers disembarked from Ryanair flight FR2425, which had departed from Stansted Airport in London. Witnesses reported that a group of approximately 15 people, celebrating a bachelor party, clashed with three other individuals, resulting in at least one person being injured.
“The confrontation took place when disembarking from the Ryanair plane, just before boarding the bus that would take them to the baggage claim area,” the newspaper reported. “Several images of the altercation capture the moments of tension experienced, where people are seen without shirts.”
The Civil Guard quickly intervened and arrested six individuals involved in the brawl. Further details about those arrested have not been released.
Passengers and airport staff were alarmed and concerned by the incident. Authorities are currently investigating to determine the exact details of what transpired.
