Traffic Chaos on M27 after Lorry Overturns between Fareham and Portsmouth

A major motorway in Hampshire remains in chaos this lunchtime after a lorry overturned near a main junction. Emergency services rushed to the scene just after 11am this morning to reports of an overturned dust cart that had been blown over by the wind between junctions 11 and 12. The Lorry is in lane three of the busy motorway. Fire crews from Fareham and Cosham have attended the incident and long-tail backs are growing at the scene as traffic attempted to post the scene Two lanes (2 and 3) remain closed on the Eastbound carriageway. South Central ambulance have sent a HART (Hazardous Area Response Team ) to the scene. The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Ambulance was called to the scene but did not land as reported. Fire crews have made the scene safe and a specialist recovery agency from Boarhunt have been called to start a major recovery and clear up. One lane of the Westbound carriage past the scene also remains closed.
