Basements Flooded Up to a Metre After Burst Water Main

A burst water main outside a row of terraced houses caused basements to flood up to a metre deep. The unexpected deluge forced twelve residents to flee their homes before firefighters arrived.

No Injuries Despite Major Flooding

Thankfully, no one was hurt in the flood drama. The emergency service was alerted at 3.14pm and had the situation under control by 5.52pm on Thursday, 23 December 2021.

Massive Fire Brigade Response Pumps Out Water

Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters from Euston, Islington, Shoreditch, and Soho rushed to the scene. They worked swiftly to pump out the floodwaters and prevent further damage.
