RNLI Lifeboat Rescues Yacht Stuck on Rocks at Egypt Point

The RNLI Cowes Atlantic 85 lifeboat, Sheena Louise, sprang into action just before 5pm on Saturday, April 28. They were called by HM Coastguard to help a 40ft yacht stranded on rocks at Egypt Point.

Yacht Successfully Freed and Escorted to Safety

Thanks to the quick response, the yacht was refloated and safely escorted back to Cowes by the lifeboat. A Coastguard Search and Rescue team from Needles was also on hand to assist with the operation.

The UK Coastguard operations centre in Fareham confirmed the successful rescue, highlighting the coordinated effort to save the distressed vessel.
