A grim toll of 828 more patients have died in hospitals across England overnight, pushing the total Covid-19 hospital fatalities to a devastating 6,483. These fresh figures come straight from NHS England, confirming newly-recorded deaths of those testing positive for the virus.
Testing Numbers Climb
As of 9am on 7 April, a whopping 266,694 Covid tests have been completed in England. On 6 April alone, 14,006 tests were run. In total, 213,181 people have been tested, with 55,242 confirmed positive cases so far.
