Fiery Ford Fiesta Flip at Basingstoke Roundabout Leaves Driver in Hospital
Norman’s red Ford Fiesta Zetec ended up flipped against a traffic light at Blackdam Roundabout, Basingstoke, around 8.15am on Tuesday, 1st June. The crash left Norman rushed to hospital with two bleeds on his brain.

Eyewitnesses claim the traffic lights at the roundabout were either faulty or not working on the morning of the smash. This could have played a major role in the terrifying rollover.
Family Pleads for Respect & Help
Aimee Merritt, a close family friend, has begged the public to stop making cruel comments about Norman. She revealed many hurtful messages have been seen not only by Norman’s family but also by friends.
“Think about if it was YOUR grandad. YOUR dad. YOUR partner. Would you be laughing then?” said Aimee.
“Norman is incredibly lucky to be alive. After the crash, he doesn’t remember a thing.”

Aimee detailed the shock of the crash:
“On Tuesday 1st June at 8:15am, Nan’s partner Norman was involved in a serious accident at Blackdam Roundabout. The impact rolled and flipped his car. He suffered two bleeds on the brain, a broken shoulder, and total memory loss of the incident.”
The family urgently requests any dashcam footage from the crash. “Any footage will help us understand how this happened,” said Aimee. Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101.
