Gosport PCSO Wins Hearts with Football Kickabout
A Gosport Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) has scored big with local youths by joining them for a kickabout at Newtown Park. The officer’s effort to connect with the community shows that policing isn’t just about enforcement – it’s about building trust.
Police ‘At Its Best’ – More Than Just Law Enforcement
Not every officer sticks to the usual enforcement role. Some, like this PCSO, go the extra mile. Community members called the event “community policing at its best,” praising the officer’s dedication to positive interaction.
Officer Praised for Breaking Down Barriers
Gosport Police expressed their gratitude, with one officer saying:
“A big ‘Thank You’ to the children at Newtown Park for letting me have a kick about with them on Thursday. In doing so, they also let me prove the old adage… you never lose it… particularly if you never had it in the first place.”
Hats off to this PCSO for showing how simple community engagement can make a real difference. Let’s hope many others follow suit!
