Tragic Motorbike Crash on N69 Coast Road Claims Rider’s Life

A fatal collision on the N69 Coast Road at Askeaton, Co Limerick, has left a motorcyclist dead and a van driver injured. The smash happened at around 1.30pm.

Motorcyclist Dies at Scene

The biker was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to University Hospital Limerick for post-mortem.

Van Driver Injured but Stable

The van driver, a man in his 50s, was rushed to University Hospital Limerick. He is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Road Closed, Gardaí Seek Witnesses

The N69 Coast Road remains shut to allow a technical investigation. Local diversions are currently in place.

Gardaí are urging anyone who was travelling on the Kilcornan side of Askeaton around the time of the crash to come forward. Dashcam or mobile footage is especially sought.
