Pub Brawl Panic: Two Men Charged After Shocking Assault on Police!

Chaos at Dartford Pub

Violence erupted at the Clipper pub on Dartford High Street last Friday afternoon. At 3.15pm on 28 August 2020, Kent Police were called to reports of two men aggressively intimidating staff and customers.

Brutal Assault on Officers

Seven officers and a Police Community Support Officer faced appalling abuse during the arrest. Several were spat at while trying to bring the troublemakers under control.

Serious Charges Laid

  • Keenan Fairclough, 19, from Clive Road, Rochester, faces seven counts of assaulting emergency workers plus criminal damage to a police cell.
  • Taylor Carter, 25, of Wrotham Road, Gravesend, has been charged with three counts of assaulting emergency workers and possession of a class A drug.

Next Court Dates Set

Both men were remanded in custody when they appeared before Medway magistrates on 31 August. Carter is due back on 8 September, while Fairclough’s next hearing is at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on 17 September.
