Tragedy Strikes at Oswestry School
A Year 13 student was found dead in her dorm at Oswestry School, Shropshire, on March 18. The independent boarding school, which educates children from ages 4 to 18, has not revealed her name, citing respect for the family’s privacy.
Girl Found Dead in Her Sleep
A school spokesman said: “It is with great sadness that we confirm a Year 13 student from Oswestry School died peacefully in her sleep on March 18.”
He added, “This is a very difficult time for the entire school. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family in particular.”
School Offers Support Amid Mystery
The girl, believed to be 17 or 18 years old, passed away under unexplained circumstances. Officials have yet to determine the cause of death.
The school is providing support to students, staff, and the family. They have also asked for privacy during this heartbreaking time.
