Emergency Services Swarm to Drayton Bassett Crash
West Midlands Ambulance Service rushed to a serious collision on the A4091 in Drayton Bassett at 11:03pm. They dispatched three ambulances, two paramedic officers, a MERIT trauma doctor, and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance Critical Care Car.
Two Cars Wrecked, Four People Injured
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service revealed, “On arrival we found two cars badly damaged and four patients needing urgent care.”
Fatality Confirmed at Scene
Tragically, the female driver of one car had suffered severe injuries. “Sadly, nothing could be done to save her and she was confirmed dead at the scene,” the spokesman said.
Critical Injuries for Others
The male driver of the other car was in critical condition. He got specialist trauma care before being rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. A man and a woman, passengers from the two cars, also sustained serious injuries and were taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham and University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.
