A40 shut after serious crash involving Tesco lorry

Northbound lane closed near Target McDonald’s roundabout

The Met Police have shut the northbound section of the A40 under the Target McDonald’s roundabout following a serious incident. A Tesco heavy goods vehicle is reported to be involved.

Crash happened around midnight

The collision occurred just after midnight on Tuesday. First aid kits and an AED were spotted on the hard shoulder, indicating emergency aid was given at the scene.

Specialist teams called in, road remains closed

Road collision specialists have been dispatched to investigate. The carriageway remains closed to traffic while the inquiry continues.
