Jacqueline Jossa Teases Major EastEnders Return
Jacqueline Jossa could be making a big comeback to EastEnders after recent talks with the show’s boss. The 30-year-old actress reprised her role as Lauren Branning earlier this year, joining the cast for the emotional funeral of Dot Cotton, played by the late June Brown.
Dot Cotton Tribute Sparks Reunion
The BBC soap aired a special episode dedicated to Dot Cotton, following June Brown’s death in April at 95. Jacqueline returned alongside other former stars to honour their co-star. Now, insiders reveal she’s planning a bigger return to Albert Square.
“EastEnders was a huge part of her life, and she adores her character,” a source told The Sun.
Jacqueline reportedly “hugely enjoyed” stepping back into Lauren’s shoes. After filming, she spoke with showrunner Chris Clenshaw and expressed openness to returning full-time — if the storyline fits and it works with her family life.
Family First but Return Could Be Imminent
With her daughters Ella and Mia now older, the timing may be right for Jacqueline to dive back into the soap. The source added that being on set “made her realise just how much she missed EastEnders.”
Jacqueline recently told fans on Instagram: “I loved being back, and was so happy with you lot in my DMs, maybe one day.”
